Queue your games, let them download, and install them — all on your own. No tech experience needed.
Go to the Game section on your PS3 home screen and launch PKGi. Make sure you're connected to the internet first — an ethernet cable is preferred for a faster, more stable connection.
Once PKGi loads, you'll see a list of content. Press △ Triangle to open the filter menu. Select Games for the type, and choose your region — for US games, select USA.
Browse down the list, find the game you want, and press X to select it. This adds it to your download queue — it is not downloading yet, just saved to the list.
You can add as many games as you want before starting the download. Queue them all up now and they'll download back to back automatically.
Once you've added everything you want, press ○ Circle to exit the app. Your list is saved — nothing is lost by closing PKGi.
Downloads won't actually start until the PS3 reboots. The quickest way is to go to the Game section, open the webMAN Installer app, and let it run. It will do a fast soft reboot automatically.
You can also just manually restart the PS3 the normal way. Either method works fine — webMAN is just faster.
After the reboot, go to the Network section on the PS3 home screen. You'll now see an option called Download Management. Open it — your queued games will be listed there and actively downloading.
Games can be several gigabytes, so this step takes a while depending on your internet speed. You don't need to watch it — feel free to step away, run some errands, or leave it downloading overnight.
When a game finishes downloading, it disappears from Download Management on its own. That means it's done and ready to install.
Go to the Game section on the home screen and open Package Manager. Select the first option: Install Package Files → PlayStation 3. This is where your downloaded games are waiting to be installed.
Highlight the game you want to install, press X, then confirm when prompted. The installation will begin — this also takes some time, so feel free to step away again.
You can only install one game at a time from Package Manager. But you can have many games fully downloaded and waiting — just come back and repeat this step for each one after the previous install finishes.
Once installed, the game will appear in the Game section of your PS3 home screen. Highlight it and press X to start playing.
Some games will ask if you want to download an update when you first launch them. This is optional. Some people update with no issues; others run into errors. To keep things simple and avoid any hiccups, you can press No to skip the update and just play. It doesn't hurt to try it either — totally up to you.
